SLOW FOOD CORVALLIS BENEFIT COOKBOOK SALE!

Are you interested in bargain-priced cookbooks, gardening books and other food-related publications?  Check out our table at the Farmers’ Market on Saturday July 28^th from 9AM to 1PM! 

Do you have more cookbooks at home than you regularly consult and use?  Donate them NOW for this special sale of cookbooks, food policy books, food magazines and other food-related publications — including gardening books and magazines!  Drop your donations in the collection box at Corvallis Brewing Supply or the Corvallis Environmental Center by Friday July 20.  (See address and hours below.) 

All proceeds from this sale will benefit the SAGE Garden.  SAGE is the Starker Arts Garden for Education—a one acre plot farmed by local volunteers.  Over 30 varieties of vegetables and fruit are raised and donated to community food banks and soup kitchens, to reach Corvallis families and individuals who need this fresh food most.  SAGE is a project of the Corvallis Environmental Center.  Learn more at  http://sagenews.blogspot.com/p/volunteer.html and http://www.corvallisenvironmentalcenter.org/

 Corvallis Brewing Supply is downtown at 119 SW 4^th Street, down one block and across the street from the Courthouse.  They are open Tuesday through Friday from 11AM to 6PM, and on Saturdays from 10AM to 5PM, closed Sunday and Monday.
