Coming Up NextTerra Madre Tales: Eating our Way Through Turin

Turin, Italy, is the site of Terra Madre, Slow Food’s biannual gathering of food lovers from all over the world—farmers, fishers, artisanal food manufacturers, chefs, and community activists. Last fall six Mid-Valley residents traveled to Italy to participate in this event. Kent Fleming, Rose Marie Nichols McGee, Joel Rea, Lisa Hargest, Leslie Carter, and Clara Baker will tell their Terra Madre tales on Wednesday, January 18, at 7 pm at the Corvallis Public Library. Clara, a musician and music teacher, will present sounds that she recorded at Terra Madre; the others will show slides; and we’ll all taste foods inspired by the Terra Madre experience. Please join Slow Food Corvallis at this free event, open to all.
