The poster tells the story! Slow Food Corvallis’s first event was held in June of 2008. Eleven local chefs contributed their special dishes made with local and international ingredients, to a group of enthusiastic area residents who came to share a meal and learn about the Slow Food movement.
In our brainstorming exercise, we gathered input from the group. From these ideas the leadership group developed our 2008 program of events, which included a cheese making workshop, a potluck picnic at the farmers’ market, a mushroom hunt and dinner, and a fall harvest potluck.
