On Saturday, August 1, 2009, 22 beer aficionados and enthusiasts of true craft beer in Corvallis and surrounding areas, joined Slow Food Corvallis in an educational pub crawl through Oregon Trail Brewery, Block 15, McMenamins, and Corvallis Brewing Supply in the first ever S L O W C R A W L .  Four small groups walked, crawled, or otherwise perambulated to each brewery to learn about each establishment’s philosophy and brewing process, beer styles, hops, malt, other ingredients and many other aspects of artisan brewing. Participants enjoyed sample brews at each location.
